“We choose the letters that have character, take them, replace the old neon tubes with LED’s, check that they are ok and put them on our website. These pieces of typography are all unique design objects, why should they be demolished?” Aleksi Hautamäki

Aleksi Hautamäki is one of the founders of the Finnish company called Character, which recycles the signs to be used as individual letters. Companies move, update their logos and cease to exist, their fascia signs are taken down and demolished. Character takes the dismantled signs, which have been part of the cityscape for years, even decades, and gives them a new life. [Aleksi Hautamäki : Behance]

very original concept and beautifully executed. I particularly like the contexts in which you have placed the letters. They would be great shots on their own, but with typography they transcend the mere aestetic
A unique conceptual fantasy! Love them!
such a great concept, and like most great ideas, it;s a simple one. The selection of sites and the placing of the letters is very effective and enchanting.
