Christina Vantzou : Super Interlude Pt. 2 (Music Video)

::

::

Video : ‘WaveSlice’ by Don Whitaker

::

Precious ambience and stately neo-classical constructions from Christina Vantzou, previously best known as one half of Kranky duo The Dead Texan. Following her recent debut solo appearance on Ghostly’s SMM compilation (alongside the likes of Svarte Greiner, Peter Broderick), Vantzou has cultivated an incredibly mature and resonant sound, all stirring strings, gravity-defying drones and distant, elegiac horns reverbed to perfection – a triumph of production and arrangement, it’s also an estimable and characterful work of composition, swelling to some truly heart-stopping melodic climaxes.

This particular sequence is constructed from numerous different series of ‘FotoWorks’ by Fernando. Therefore, I would encourage anyone who is intrigued by these marvelous works to click on each individual image to view texts & tags. This will resignify the speech of each image and each series, allowing for a better understanding of context and a further appreciation of the artists original intent.
