“These works connects my passion for the chaotic scene, scrub and scree and meaningful forms that I collect from the wild or in town. Just like the cuckoo, I appropriate the nest of the warbler found at the edge of the forest. Although a simple form, the nest is also a complex construction. Up close, it becomes a miniature bush, a forest. By changing the scale, and drawing in large format, new territory is opened up in which the eye can travel and even get lost.” Nicolas Crispini
